Math 511B - Algebra
Core Graduate Course, University of Arizona, 2021
The following is some information regarding the core graduate abstract algebra course (the second half) that I will be assisting with during Spring 2021.
The course has 5 students, 3 of them are graduate students and the remaining 2 are undergraduate students.

Course syllabus: In this course we will cover the theory of modules, fields and homological algebra following the textbook “Algebra: Chapter 0” by Paolo Aluffi (chapters 6, 7 and 8).
Homework assignments: Written homework will be assigned regularly via D2L, most probably on every Thursday, and will be due the following Friday. They will be graded by the TA using Gradescope. Also, there will be weekly problem solving sessions in which the TA will discuss the problems from these assignments.
Exams: There will be a take-home midterm exam which will be made available on Thursday, March 4, 2021 and will be due on next Thursday, March 11, 2021. There will also be a comprehensive take home final exam which will be made available on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 and will be due on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
